Highway Auto and Light Truck Replacement and Adjustment Policy

Free Tire Replacement

Any new Goodyear highway radial auto or radial light truck replacement tire, except Unisteel radial light truck tires, covered by this policy, removed from service due to a covered limited warranty condition during the first 2/32" of usable treadwear, or 12 months from date of purchase, whichever comes first, will be replaced with a comparable new Goodyear tire at no charge, including mounting and balancing. However, without proof of purchase the date of manufacture will be used to determine eligibility.

All Other Highway Auto or Light Truck Tires

Any new Goodyear highway auto or light truck replacement tire, other than radial auto, radial light truck, or Unisteel radial light truck tire, removed from service due to a covered limited warranty condition during the first 1/32" of usable treadwear will be replaced with a comparable new Goodyear tire at no charge, including mounting and balancing.

Goodyear Tread Life Limited Warranty

In addition to the provisions of the limited warranty for covered limited warranty conditions, any new Goodyear replacement tire listed below is warranted against tread wear-out based on the following table:

How will Tread Life Limited Warranty charges be calculated?

Driving habits, road conditions, driving conditions and vehicle maintenance are all factors that contribute to tire wear. If your tires do not reach the miles/kilometers listed in the Tread Life table and meet with all the terms of the Tread Life warranty (read below), the tires will be replaced as follows:

If the tread wears evenly down to the treadwear indicators (worn to 2/32") before delivering the warranted mileage, the tire will be replaced on a prorated basis, if the original invoice is presented showing the vehicle mileage when the tires were originally installed.

EXAMPLE: If your tire had a tread life limited warranty of 80,000 miles (130,000 kilometers) and delivered 56,000 miles (91,000 kilometers) prior to wear-out (down to 2/32"), the tire will be replaced for 70% of the advertised selling price of the comparable tire at the time of adjustment. If the price of the new comparable tire is $130, the cost to you would be $91, plus any additional charges such as mounting, balancing, and any other applicable taxes and government-mandated charges.

The Tread Life Limited Warranty applies only if you are the original purchaser and the tires have been used only on the vehicle on which they were originally installed, according to Goodyear or the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.

However, the Tread Life Limited Warranty does not apply to:

  • Tires used in commercial applications including, but not limited to, police, taxi service, national account, government, and contract sales.
  • Tires supplied as original equipment.
  • Tires installed on any vehicle other than the vehicle on which they were originally installed.
  • Tires that, after leaving the producing factory, have had the tread pattern altered in any manner such as, but not limited to, siping, carving, shaving, or having any material applied to the tread surface.

You must retain your original tire purchase invoice (see the second bullet under Owner's Obligations) for tread life limited warranty consideration.

TIRE & SERVICE NETWORK NATIONWIDE LIMITED WARRANTY

Tire & Service Network locations employ highly qualified technicians, and provide a nationwide auto service warranty and Goodyear service warranty. However, please note that these warranties apply only to parts and labor shown on your invoice.


WHO MAKES THIS WARRANTY

This warranty is made and will be serviced by the Tire & Service Network provider who performed the repairs identified on the face of your repair invoice. This warranty will also be honored by any participating Tire & Service Network outlet nationwide, †† if you require warranty service 25 or more miles from the location where the warranted original service was performed.


This warranty extends only to you, the original purchaser, and the motor vehicle identified on the original repair invoice. It applies only during the warranty periods stated in the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at the time of purchase.

WHERE CAN YOU OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE

If you experience a warranty-related problem, take the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at the time of purchase and your repair invoice to the Tire & Service Network provider that performed the service. If you are more than 25 miles from that location, you must go to the nearest Tire & Service Network outlet.


HOW TO FIND A TIRE & SERVICE NETWORK OUTLET

A Tire & Service Network provider will be identified with the sign shown on the front of the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at the time of purchase. Not all Network providers are owned and operated by Goodyear®. Ask provider for details.


You can call 1-800-426-0733, toll-free, to find the nearest Tire & Service Network outlet. This service will identify the provider closest to your location. WARRANTY AGREEMENT - ALL SERVICES††

The Tire & Service Network outlets warrant that the performed repairs will be free from defects in material or workmanship for either 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, or the warranty periods for selected services as specifically outlined in the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at time of purchase. If you experience a warranty-related problem with the repaired vehicle as a result of a defect in either workmanship or material during the warranty period, this Tire & Service Network provider will perform the repairs again, including parts and labor, under the terms of the warranty as outlined. Warranty repairs do not extend original warranty periods. In addition, if a vehicle is more than 25 miles from the original repair facility and requires being towed, a towing benefit on "Approved Claims" up to $50.00 will be applied. The Tire & Service Network Repair Outlet must call 1-800-426-0733 to obtain warranty authorization from the Warranty Administrator prior to any warranty repair being performed. Warranty repair costs are covered up to the cost of the original repair.

IMPORTANT: Please keep the warranty brochure that was provided by the dealer at the time of purchase, along with your service invoice(s). These documents are required in order to exercise your warranty privileges.


EXCLUSIONS

Warranty period for lube, oil and filter change, transmission fluid exchange, coolant exchange, differential fluid exchange, brake fluid exchange, power steering fluid exchange, engine decarbonization, wiper blades, bulbs and air filter is 90 days or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first.


This warranty does not cover engine/transmission replacement, internal repairs, differentials, tires or batteries. Separate warranties are available for those products at the Tire & Service Network outlet where the original repair was performed.


This warranty does not apply to vehicles used commercially.

Commercial vehicle repairs: 90 days/4,000 miles, whichever comes first.


SERVICE WARRANTY POLICY

This warranty is only for you and the vehicle serviced. It is not transferable. Goodyear will not be responsible for any consequential, incidental or indirect damage under this warranty. Implied warranties shall be limited to the duration of this warranty and shall exclude consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

  • Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you (but in no event shall the inapplicability of such limitations or exclusions invalidate any other terms of this warranty).

A buyer of Goodyear products or service has the right to have warranty service performed during the warranty period. The warranty period will be extended for the number of whole days that the vehicle has been out of the buyer's hands for warranty repairs. If a covered condition exists within the warranty period, the warranty will not expire until the condition has been fixed. The warranty period will also be extended if the warranty repairs have not been performed due to delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of the buyer, or if the warranty repairs did not remedy the condition and the buyer notifies the Tire & Service Network provider which performed the warranted service of the failure of the repairs within 60 days after they were completed. If, after a reasonable number of attempts, the condition has not been fixed, the buyer may return his/her vehicle for a replacement of parts, if applicable, or a refund, in either case, subject to deduction of a reasonable charge for usage. This time extension does not affect the protections or remedies the buyer has under any law.

BRAKE OVERHAUL: Disc and/or drum performed as a package includes:

  • DISC - Disc pads, resurface rotors, rebuild or replace hydraulic calipers, grease seals (if equipped), associate hardware
  • DRUM - Brake shoes, resurface drums, new wheel cylinders, grease seals (if equipped), associated hardware. Any and all other brake service or repair is covered under the "Brake Service" warranty.

Front brake special 2-wheel disc

PARTS: 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Engine tune-up

Road hazard warranty service

All Tire & Service Network locations will honor optional road hazard warranty coverage purchased by a consumer and administered by Sonsio Administrative Services, Inc., only for Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly products. The road hazard warranty service coverage will be administered according to the terms as set forth in those purchased programs. All other optional warranty coverage purchased by a consumer at any Tire & Service Network location will be honored as follows only on Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly products:

Time-based coverage for 3 years:

  • YEAR 1: Free replacement
  • YEAR 2: Consumer pays 50% of replacement cost
  • YEAR 3: Consumer pays 74% of replacement cost

LIFETIME TIRE ROTATION

Lifetime Tire Rotation on new tire purchases of Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly products. Good for the life of the usable tire tread (2/32"). Present the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at time of purchase at any Tire & Service Network location for a free tire rotation every 6 months or 6,000 miles. (Vehicles requiring mounting or demounting of tires to perform rotation excluded.)


Wheel balance (auto tires only)

Standard Limited Warranty: 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Lifetime Limited Warranty4: Good for the life of the usable tire tread (2/32") balanced.

Not valid if tire is demounted.
